Job Description

Annually, approximately 45,000 people die in Hong Kong.  Roughly a thousand of these deaths each year are suicides.  Moreover, based on past studies and current pet ownership figures, about 40,000 pets are expected to die each year in Hong Kong.  Whether a lost loved one was a close relative or an animal companion, research indicates that 10-15% of all bereaved individuals experience “chronic grief” with varying degrees of incapacitation. 

Established in 2013, Bodhi Love Foundation is a Section 88 registered charity that is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of wise and compassionate global citizens and leaders. We are acutely aware of the sobering statistics mentioned above and are getting ready to kickstart a pioneering multichannel bereavement counselling platform that is rooted in Buddhist philosophy.  As Hong Kong is home to over one million Buddhists, our goal is to not only provide counselling services that are sensitive to this sizeable spiritual community in our city whom are underserved by the present landscape of bereavement services, but also to help anyone and every one in Hong Kong who would benefit from our work in their time of need.

Commencing in early 2022, we intend to organize a series of public talks that will provide grief counselling from a Buddhist perspective. During these events, we will begin to sign-up members to Bodhi Love Online, which at first will be an innovative website and mobile application that offers free videos, online mindfulness courses and support groups.  In 2023, we target going live with our AI-enabled Buddhist Master bot, as well as launching the first Buddhist-based counselling hotline service in Hong Kong.  We are now ready to hire an inspired and experienced Project Lead to spearhead this exciting multi-year .

Job Responsibilities

l   l   l   Good command of PC, website, and social media applications (i.e. Microsoft Office, Zoom, Adobe, Photoshop, etc.), including Chinese word processing 

Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills

Work Arrangement

5-day work week. Office in Causeway Bay.
