Job Overview

 The General Manager and Group Sommelier is responsible for overseeing the restaurant to support the Restaurant Manager, Shareholders and project Manager to drive the business, build its reputation within the industry and ensure its profitability.15 + years’ experience in the hospitality industry, with 5 years’ experience within a management position

  • Strong experience working in Michelin Star restaurants – Opening, gaining the award
  • Previous work experience in hospitality-driven cities in both Aisa and in the West such as Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, London, Lisbon, Paris, Copenhagen etc.

  • Strong knowledge of Thai cuisine and culture – Ideally lived or from Thailand to have first-hand experience

  • Understanding of multiple positions within the industry, ideally with experience working both front of house and in the kitchen – Clear progression in career

  • Extensive Managerial capabilities with experience working across multiple sites

  • Experience managing a large team (20+ employees)

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to report the following to a C Suite level:

  • Set and manage budgets

  • Analytically examine profit and loss

  • Sourcing suppliers

  • Implementing standard operating procedures

  • Manage and control inventory

  • Excellent wine knowledge and Sommelier experience, with educational background to support

  • Higher education in Hospitality Management or similar subject

  • Strong English and Thai written and oral skills
