Job Overview
Responsibilities
– Manage database administration, installation, configuration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, patching, backup & restore activities
– Maintain day-to-day database operation, production support, security, availability, and other related components
– Follow-through on database security compliance, disaster recovery, monitoring, capacity planning, backup, upgrade, migration
– Working closely with different parties to gather requirements, design and specification
Requirements
– Degree holder in Computer Science, or related discipline
– 8+ years of IT experience and 5+ years of solid experience in database particularly in Oracle, MSSQL server
– Configure and manage database maintenance including backup & Recovery (RMAN), Data Guard, and Real Application Cluster (RAC)
– Experience in Oracle GoldenGate and Active Data Guard will be an advantage
– Knowledge in Windows, Linux and AIX servers
– Must possess excellent communication skills in Cantonese and English
– Able to work independently with minimal supervision
