Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage and support the Wintel and VMware virtual infrastructure.
• Windows, VMware Server
• Plan and execute installation, security patches, and firmware upgrades.
• Analyze and review system data capacity and planning purpose. Manage enterprise-wide system deployment.
• Provide engineering support and act as a technical SME for the Asia Infrastructure team.
• Plan and coordinate appropriate data backup and database archive operations, as well as related strategies.
• Develop and maintain appropriate system documentation and procedures.
• Standby services, participate in ad-hoc incident
• Able to handle basic trouble shooing over storage performance
• Identify possible reasons when incidents happened, fix bugs and provide immediate solutions
• Managing VDI infrastructure, including patching, configuring, troubleshooting
• Responsible for system monitoring, troubleshooting and performance turning;
• Perform implementation including planning, designing, installing, configuring, migrating, and testing on server infrastructure (Physical/VM/Cloud).
• Managing Backups
Requirements
• At least 2-3 years of Windows Server Management Experience in Wintel including Active Directory, DNS, DRS, DHCP etc
• Hybrid cloud technical experience in VMWare.
• Windows, VMware Server
• Server builds server configuration, server deployments plus patching and hardening.
• Perform server security hardening plus managing and supporting ongoing patch management processes
• Protocols, SSH, Networking Monitoring / Troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with scripting (Batch / PowerShell / Powerscript / VB)
• Experience with Infrastructure projects across Data Centre consolidations and migration.
• Networking Experience in TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, DHCP.
• Mature and able to work independently without direct supervision
• Experience with Backup Software, Mail systems and Monitoring Tools
• VDI infrastructure experience
• Azure Cloud
• Experience with Veeam backup and Cloud backup systems
• Good analytical & communication skills in English
